Development Director

 

A confident communicator and avid relationship-builder, the Development Director will establish a vision for small- and large-scale fundraising initiatives, partnerships, sponsorship, and grants. They will work as an integral part of a tight-knit team to garner financial support for our mission.

Required Qualifications 
  • At least five years of measurable success in development and fundraising, highlighted by repeat contributions, major gifts, and high donor retention rates. 
  • A history of building fruitful, enduring relationships with a wide range of Milwaukeeans: from executives, business leaders, and public figures, to community members of all backgrounds. 
  • Proven success in acquiring philanthropic support at various levels via direct solicitation. 
  • Experience with grant writing, fulfillment, and reporting. 
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, email etiquette, and multicultural awareness. 
  • Experience with CRM usage, including data entry protocols and campaign tracking.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat, or equivalent. 
Preferred Additional Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Milwaukee’s arts and culture community. 
  • Experience in securing public funding or coordinating public/private partnerships. 
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. You will also receive a competitive benefits package, including medical, vision, and prescription coverage; paid time off; holiday and sick pay; and participation in a 401(k)retirement plan.
